History of Reposturing Dynamics

Reposturing was created by Aaron Parnell, a Massage Therapist and Chiropractic student who took the summer off from school to be a member of the first Olympic Sports massage Team in Los Angeles in the Summer of 1984. He received lots of positive feedback from athletes of every Olympic sport; his stretch-massage-breath treatment was effective in improving posture, alignment, and flexibility and was super-efficient in increasing speed, improving performance, and reducing risk of injury.

One runner he worked with won a gold metal and even set a world record.

That’s when it became clear that Aaron was really onto something remarkable and important for humanity.

After returning to chiropractic school in the fall of 1984, he decided he’d already found his calling with posture, and decided to begin his career without graduating. In addition to his own private fitness clients, he worked as a massage therapist in a chiropractic office for 5 years, providing the therapy to patients with chronic pain and other problems with unprecedented results, such as eliminating low back pain, and joint stiffness forever. Using the same techniques he previously used for Olympic athletes, everyday people were relieved of pain and healed faster than ever. People got taller, felt better about themselves, experienced weight loss and improved body lines. The exercises he developed over the years helped clients keep their progress permanently.

One of Aaron's clients, a marketing executive, suggested he use Reposturing for the name of his stretch-massage-breath system. Reposturing became the name of his hands-on therapy. Reposturing Yoga is the name of the exercises specific for improving posture. Facial Reposturing is the treatment applied to the deep facial muscles that hold tension patterns which lead to deep facial lines, jaw tension and facial imbalances.

He started teaching structured classes after 10 years in practice. After 10 trainings he started to teach others how to train and certify practitioners all over the world.

Aaron’s goal is to certify at least 1000 Reposturing Practitioners per year over the next 5 years, growing from there, and Sharon Caren is committed to helping him with this task. Click on Training in the menu bar for the next certification class.
